Mistral’s multi-drug detection & identification technology is a presumptive field test technology capable of quickly and effectively identifying illicit substances or detecting drug residues at the microgram/nanogram level on virtually any type of surface. This technology offers narcotic units, K-9 units, correctional facilities, probation offices, and general police units options and capabilities not previously available. The technology is based on internationally accepted reagent science in support of ‘probable cause’ searches, drug investigations, and monitoring/compliance activities.

You can purchase the following Mistral products using the GSA schedule: Drug Detection aerosols, Explosive Detection aerosols, Investigation/Forensic Field Test Kits, Blastguard-Trash Containers, EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), and the Fully Confined BlastSafe Containment Vessels.

January 2003: Mistral is very pleased to announce an innovation to our Drug Detection and Identification product line. Detect 4 drugs (D4D) is a single aerosol reagent spray, which enables the user to detect/identify 4 types of drugs in one spray shot. Wiping any surface once with the Special Test paper #630, and spraying the paper with the reagent from this can, will reveal traces of: Hashish or Marijuana, as reddish brown stains, Heroin, as purple gray stains, Amphetamine, as canary-yellow stains and Meth-amphetamines, as orange stains (see picture). Detect 4 drugs is kitted with COCA-TEST (cocaine and crack detection) to provide even greater range of drug detection. Stay tuned to our website for more information, or feel free to contact us.

September 2001: Mistral's "Meth-Test" was recently featured in an article in Law Enforcement Technology, September 2001, p. 124.

The trade journal published the article to address the complex problem faced by police officers due to the increased use of the drug known as Ecstasy.

The article features comments from officers who use the Meth-Test product in the field.
